October 30th, 2007 - Tree Fire
 
  
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1, Brush 2 and Tender 5
 
Time of Call: 1200 Hours
 
Called to trees on fire off of Moline Road. On arrival found a small fire under a few pine trees. Booster line and brooms used to put out the fire. No loss of property or loss of life.
 
 
October 28th, 2007 - Car Accident
 
   
  
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1, Squad 1, Brush 2 and 1-G-15
 
Time of Call: 1440 Hours
 
      Called to I-88 near mile marker 19 for a single vehicle car roll over accident. Once on scene found a single car facing the wrong way in the East bound lane. Driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle. Driver was fully immobilized and extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and fire medics. Driver then transported to local trauma center. Road way cleaned and car towed. Loss of property was one car no loss of life.
 
October 25th, 2007 - Grass Fire
 
   
 
Trucks on Scene: Brush 2 and Tender 5
 
Time of Call: 1300? Hours
 
Called out to I-88 mile marker 18 for a grass fire. Once on scene fire was quickly put out. No loss of life or property damage.
 
October 20th, 2007 - Combine Fire
 

  

 

Trucks on Scene: Engine 1, Tender 5 and Brush 2

 

Time of Call: 1700 Hours

 

 

       Called to combine fire near mellotts road. On scene found light smoke coming from the rear of the combine. Fire extinguisher had been used by farmer prior to our arrival. Booster line pulled off Brush 2 to douse the smoldering embers in the combine. No injuries or loss of property.

October 15th, 2007 - Reported camper on fire
 
  
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1, Tender 5 and Squad 1
 
Time of Call: 600 Hours
 
Called out to cordova road for a camper on fire.  This was a controlled burn in a burn barrel.  No injuries or loss of property.
 
October 13th, 2007 - Tree on fire
 
   
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1 and Squad 1
 
Time of Call: 1800? Hours
 
Called out to Heritage park for a tree on fire.  There was one large old tree on fire.  Extinguished the tree with the front-line from Engine 1 and then cut it down so as not to be a hazard for others. 
 

October 13th, 2007 - Car vs. Deer I-88 
 
   
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1, Squad 1 and 1-G-15
 
Time of Call: 1700? Hours
 
Called out to Interstate I-88 for a car versus deer.  Assisted 1-G-15 with one patient and assisted the state police with traffic control.  There was one reported injury and minor damage to the vehicle.
October 13th, 2007 - Reported Grass Fire
 
 
   
 
Trucks On Scene: Brush 2 and Engine 4
 
Time Of Call:  1500? Hours
 
Called out for a report of a grass fire.  Searched but no fire was found.  Returned to station. No injuries or loss of property.
 
October 10th 2007 - Search
 
     
 

 

Trucks On Scene: Brush 2, Squad 1, PC 3, Brush 6 and 1-G-15
 
Time Of Call:  1545 Hours

 

Called out by Whiteside county Sherrif's department to assist in the search for a missing person.  Person was located and no injuries or loss of personal property was reported.
 
Departments on Scene:  Erie Fire Department, Erie Amublance, Whiteside county police, Illinois State Police, local law enforcement as well as multiple K-9 Units and air units.

 

October 9th, 2007 - Grass Fire
 
 
   
 
Trucks On Scene: Brush 2, Engine 4, PC 3 & Brush 6
 
Time Of Call:  1505 Hours
 
Called to a small grass fire around a power pole and in the surrounding bushes. Fire was extinguished with Brush 2 and deck gun of Engine 4 along with some brooming from firefighters. No injuries or loss of property.
 
 
October 8th, 2007 - Mutual Aid to Prophetstown for a barn fire. 
 
     
 
Trucks on Scene: Engine 1,Engine 4 and Rescue Squad
 
Time of Call: 1000 Hours
 
Called by Prophetstown Fire Department for mutual aid to a barn fire. Two large structures were involved. Arrived on scene Engine 4 pulled one 1 ½ attack line and one 2 ½ master line. Interior attack made but pulled out do to lack of water on scene. More Tenders arrived and interior attack was initiated again. Deck guns and master streams were used on the back side of the structures. Small field fire was also put out with Prophetstown Brush truck and firefighters with brooms. No injuries

Time Of Call: 0345 Hours
 
Called by Prophetstown Fire Department for mutual aid to a barn fire. One large structure involved. Structure was already down on our arrival. Engine 4 was used as a Tender. 1 ¾ attack lines and 2 ½ master lines were used. Unknown if any injuries on scene.
